David Mullins

Mitch McVicker with Robin and Dave Mullins

Speaker, teacher, writer, musician and recently co-producer of the movie “Ragamuffin,” David Mullins seeks to use these gifts to take the simple, life-changing word of God’s love to both the lost and to those in the Church who believe they are unlovable, unaccepted and unworthy of His love. David is currently serving as the Lead Teaching Minister at Colonial Heights Christian Church in Kingsport, TN.

David grew up in rural Indiana, the youngest of five children in a strong Christian home. Later at Johnson University, David earned both a Bachelor of Arts degree in Bible and Preaching and the love of his best friend for life, his wife Robin. They have two adult children, Jonathan and Kacie. After graduating from Johnson, David served in several churches as youth minister and later as Senior Minister.

Following the death of David’s brother, singer/songwriter, Rich Mullins (Awesome God) in 1997, David and his family relocated to Wichita, Kansas to continue Rich’s vision to take the love of Christ to the Native American reservations. As Director of The Legacy of a Kid Brother of St. Frank (The Legacy), from 1998-2002, David was involved in speaking and teaching in churches, camps and retreats across America, Canada, Ireland and Guatemala. He and the Legacy ministry team developed art, drama and music camps for Native American youth. David also realized his love for writing, speaking and leading adult retreats, teaching the grace, love and forgiveness of God.

Connection is a word which best describes David’s approach to ministry; he exhibits an easy-going ability to connect with audiences on a significant level. This ability to connect deeply allows him to connect them to the radical truth of the Gospel and especially the truth that God loves them in their brokenness.
